’They need it now’: In split vote, South Whitehall commissioners award bids for long-planned improvements to Covered Bridge Park playground

South Whitehall residents may see a brand new playground at Covered Bridge Park come this summer, as commissioners narrowly voted to approve bids for its construction. It's one part of a multi-phase master plan approved in 2014, but two commissioners questioned the timing of moving forward amid the coronavirus pandemic.
