‘Client advocate’ getting results in Lehigh County Public Defender’s office as social workers play larger role in criminal justice system

Lehigh County Chief Public Defender Kimberly Makoul recently added a social worker to the office. Her "holistic" method of defending indigent clients by using social workers is a growing trend in the criminal justice system.
