At the Flight 93 crash site in Shanksville, the National Park Service and partners have worked since 2011 to restore the land to its natural beauty. There’s a wetland, 15,000 native trees and shrubs and a wildflower meadow that sweeps down the slopes to the edge of the Memorial Plaza and Wall of Names.
